Lake With Sun, Moon, and Stars

The ochre globe of a giant setting sun sets fire to the sky beyond an all but ash bare tree, with vibrant orange, reds, and yellows. Spots of stars reflect in the green-blue water-shards of the lake. The moon looks down upon an unbearably hot landscape without animals, birds, insects, or aquatic life.

Someone whispers 'I wonder how this looked fifty years ago'...

Those fifty years ago are our years, and the person whispering has just been born. The acid beauty and intensity of this scene when viewed with this narrative encourages me to feel and think more about how my daily choices affect the earth's climate.
