The Game of Life

Part of a major project with nature at its heart, this work is inspired by the building blocks of life.

The work's name also references the cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway. This zero-player game is determined once its initial state is defined. As the designer of the initial state it can be fascinating to witness the game unfold as cells grow, collide, and disappear.

The interactive project will be completed and released on 21 June 2025, Summer Solstice.
